History Western Aviation Service Corp. was founded in 1976 at Borinquen Airport (BQN/TJBQ), the former Ramey Air Force Base (RAFB). Ramey Air Force Base ceased operations in 1973. Three years later Western Aviation became the first FBO to operate at this airport. Presently Western Aviation is capable of handling any passenger or cargo airplane, including aircraft refueling from a Cesnna 150 to a Boeing 747.
